About · The long version

Hi. I'm Keegan.

Birmingham raised. Greenville based. Music brought me here. Cameras kept me. AI is what I'm building with now.

The path

How I got here.

Birmingham, Alabama. Music kid. Played in bands, recorded other people's bands, got into photography because I needed promo shots and nobody else was around to take them.

New Orleans for a stretch. Nashville for a stretch. Shreveport for a stretch. I shot a lot of weddings, a lot of brand sessions, a lot of musicians who wanted album art. Picked up videography along the way because clients started asking.

Marketing snuck in through the side door. If you do enough creative work for small businesses, you eventually realize the bottleneck isn't the photos — it's the website that doesn't convert, the CRM no one set up, the social media that hasn't been touched in six months. So I started fixing that too.

Then AI showed up. Suddenly the things small business owners couldn't afford — content engines, automation, real CRM workflows — were possible. I started building with it, helping clients deploy it, and that turned into a whole second brand.

Now I run two businesses out of Greenville, SC, and write about both of them here.

What I'm building

Two ventures. One job.

Handled — AI agency for small business. We build websites, deploy CRM and AI automations, and run digital ops for service businesses. The thesis: small business owners shouldn't have to fight their tools to do their jobs. We take that off their plate.

Sullivan Creative Co. — the creative studio. Photography, film, branding, web, strategy. The thesis: everyone has a story worth telling, and most of them haven't been told well. We help fix that.

Both come back to the same posture — "what do you need me to take off your plate?" — and then actually doing it.

What's next

On the workbench.

Field Notes — long-form writing on AI, small business ops, and creative work. Currently lives on Handled's resources page; pulling it into Keegareaux soon.

The Lab — a place for the experiments and tools I'm building (most of them with Claude, most of them for fun). Probably arrives later this year.

More clients, more shoots, more interesting problems to chew on. If any of that overlaps with something you're working on — get in touch.
